How to Apply

The MBA program is open to anyone holding (or anticipating) a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Click here for a detailed list of admission requirements in the MBA program.

All students seeking admission to the MBA Program should apply to and be accepted by the College of Graduate and Professional Studies and the MBA Program at Indiana State University. Please review the guidelines for admission below. There are specific expectations from domestic vs. international students.

DOMESTIC APPLICANTS

  • Submit a completed application
  • Pay the application fee**
  • Submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions
    • Students who have previously attended Indiana State University do not need to have their transcripts sent to Graduate Admissions.  We already have access to transcripts from Indiana State University.
  • Upload a professional résumé
  • Submit an official GMAT score* (see below for exceptions)

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

  • Submit a completed application
  • Pay the application fee**
  • In the “Upload Materials” section, upload the following:
    • Unofficial Transcripts. Please upload unofficial transcripts from all previously attended institutions. Official transcripts are required if an admission is received.  Students who have previously attended Indiana State University do not need to have their transcripts sent to Graduate Admissions.  We already have access to transcripts from Indiana State University.
    • Resume. Upload a professional resume
    • Government issued ID. Upload relevant pages (picture info) from your passport.
  • Submit an official GMAT score*(see below for exceptions)
  • Must meet the University requirements for English proficiency
    • In order to be considered for admission, applicants must have the official score report sent directly from the testing center to Indiana State University.
  • Must provide proof of financial support if an admission is received

GMAT WAIVER QUALIFICATIONS

*GMAT waivers are available. In order to be considered for a GMAT waiver, applicants must upload a one-page personal statement that explains why you want to pursue an MBA, how the degree will impact your career, and why you want to attend ISU. Click here for a full set of criteria.

**Application fees are currently waived for the online MBA program

WHEN TO APPLY

The MBA Program does not have application deadlines; applications are accepted year-round.  Students interested in the Scott MBA Campus or Online program may begin fall, spring, or summer. Typically, processing of applications takes less than 30 days. Scholarships and/or financial aid may be available for qualified candidates admitted to the MBA program. Early application is encouraged!

WHAT WE CONSIDER

Once an application is complete, an admission decision will be made. Admissions decisions are based upon the applicant’s complete packet that entails test scores, GPA, a professional resume and, in certain cases, a personal statement.
